You may be wondering why

Our Kennel name is Bluegrass and we reside in the Lone Star State.

To put it simply, I was born and raised in Kentucky, and that is where my roots and my heart lies.

I named my first show-puppy, Derby after the Kentucky Derby. 

The Kentucky Derby is known in the United States as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" for its approximate duration. It's also referred to as the"The Run for the Roses" for the blanket of roses draped over the winner.

When Derby finishes her Championship and her show career is over,

I will feel a great amount of happiness for the race won and this

Unbelievable title. However, I will also experience sadness,

knowing that the race is over.

As her and I walk out of that show,

in my heart I will know she

is leaving behind a rich history much like

       The prestigious Kentucky Derby.
